REQUIREMENTS: Gracie must have a fenced yard, she would not do well in an apartment or condo. She would do best with another mellow dog in the home. She was not reactive to the cat she met when she first came into rescue but we don’t know how she would do living with one. Adopter must be patient and willing to work with Gracie to adjust to her new home.
Sweet Gracie has had her spay and dental and is ready to find her forever home.
Gracie is 7 years old and came to us from a puppy mill. She was very shy initially but has improved a lot in the months since.
Gracie needs to have a fenced yard as she is a flight risk if she were allowed to be off leash and has escaped the yard in her foster home where the other dog dug out. She had not had a lot of leash training and would do well to go to a basic obedience class.
Gracie likes to cuddle either with her people or with the other dogs. She is protective of her people and will bark at new people. She needs some time to warm up but does very well once she’s had some time. She is trained to a dog door so if she goes to a home without one she will need some additional training. She is crate trained and will sleep in a crate at night.
Gracie is a sweet girl who has has a rough life but is ready to find her forever home!

Aura needs to have a fenced yard as she is a flight risk if she were allowed to be off leash. With time she will improve more but at this time she would not be a good fit for an apartment as she is still skittish on a leash.
She has improved much and will allow her foster to pet her and will sit on the couch with her. She loves other dogs and is good with kids who will be patient and gentle with her. She is afraid of sudden quick movements by adults and some loud sounds but is improving daily!
Aura is a sweet girl who has has a rough life but will make an amazing companion with the right family who will work with her to overcome her fears and allow her to blossom!

Well we got a hold of handsome Duke’s vet records and it turns out he’s younger than we were told! He had moved homes a couple of times so it’s not too surprising. Turns out he’s only 6 1/2 years old, not almost 10 like we thought! That tracks, as he has quite a bit of energy and his teeth, though needing a dental, are not that bad.
Duke is scheduled to get his dental in a few weeks and then he will be ready for his forever home. His vet check was excellent, everything normal, bloodwork was perfect. Other than still needing to lose some weight (he has already been losing some with his weight management food and exercise) he is one healthy boy!
Duke is pretty much the perfect dog. He is house trained and can reliably be left alone in the house. He doesn’t chew anything or cause mischief. He’s a mellow middle aged gentleman who just wants a cozy couch to sleep on, preferably cuddled right next to his person. He is the perfect buddy to binge watch your favorite show with, but also has enough energy to go on walks (which he loves, he gets super excited when he sees his leash and harness).
He does great with other dogs and cats, but he would also probably be just fine solo with someone home most of the time. He would do fine in an apartment or condo as he rarely barks.
Duke is all around a perfect boy who is a joy to have around and would make an excellent addition to a variety of home situations. The only thing we are unsure of is how he does with kids as we were told he was never around them. So we are requiring an adult home, or only older kids over 12. Duke would not be good left alone for long periods as he has always had someone home 24/7, so he needs a home with someone home most of the day. He is an excellent traveler and would do great with someone who is retired and wants a travel buddy.
