Foster to Adopt: How it Works and How to Apply
How our foster to adopt program works:
You must be in Utah. And you must be within reasonable driving distance of our vets which are in Murray and Roy.
Once you have submitted an application and have been approved you will sign a foster to adopt agreement and pay the adoption fee. The foster to adopt contract will go until the dog is completely vetted. Our adoption fees vary based on age and breed. Foster to adopt is typically for puppies but is available for all of our dogs.
If for some reason things do not work out, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible so the foster can take the dog back and we will refund the fee as soon as the dog is returned to the foster home.
You are responsible for taking the dog to all vet appointments. This includes checkups, rechecks, vaccines, spay and neuter and any needed specialist visits. Our vets are in Roy and Murray so you need to be within reasonable driving distance of those two cities. We will schedule appointments at your convenience when possible but each vet has different schedules which we will discuss prior to placement.
All vetting is included in the adoption fee. For puppies this includes exams, deworming, 3 sets of distemper/parvo, 2 sets of Bordatella, rabies, spay or neuter, microchip, hernia repair and puppy teeth extracted if needed. This also includes specialty visits if needed.
Once the vetting has been done you will finalize with a final contract and at that point we will transfer ownership to you and register the microchip in your name.
