Cute little Tato aged out of a puppy mill and we were able to get him and his brother into rescue before they ended up at auction. He is a darling mix of cavalier kind charles spaniel and Japanese Chin.
Tato is a petite little guy weighing just under 9 lbs. He was extremely shy and afraid of people when he first came into rescue but as his foster mom has worked with him he has come out of his shell and is a sweet, happy little guy. He likes to go on walks and does great when meeting new people.
He loves his doggie foster siblings and takes his cues from them. He needs to have another well adjusted dog in his forever home to help him continue to learn how to be a dog! He likes to explore and has much more confidence when he has another confident dog leading the way. He didn’t know what toys were when he first came into rescue but he has figured it out now and loves to play. This has caused some issues as now he thinks everything is a toy and can chew on things he shouldn’t. So he will need continued training so he isn’t destructive. He’s still very much a puppy!
Tato has been neutered and is up to date on his shots and has been microchipped. He is all ready for his forever home.
Tato is doing great on his house training, and will use a doggie door, but sometimes needs a reminder to go out. He is crate trained and he prefers to eat in his crate.
